We invade other countries, impose sanctions, ignore climate change, exploit them for their natural resources and cheap labor, and then force the citizens of those countries to endure the suffering we’ve inflicted upon them without accountability. Supporting refugees is the least we can do.

What about the violence perpetrated by the state? What are people supposed to do to stop this violence? What recourse do they have? The police won’t help them. The courts won’t help them. The gov has turned its back on communities. It’s no longer keeping people safe, instead it’s terrorizing them.
