My apologies, I replied to the wrong post, these figures are for the Polaris. The Guardian has an estimated CADR of 170cfm, to be validated by testing. Dimensions are 15 x 12 x 8.25 inches.

Essentially all the parts are plug and play so you are essentially buying a kit of materials, the power related items are cUL / FCC and UL approved. We offer a kit assembly service. We used to make custom power cables but we now go with pre-made parts in order to not need CSA approval.

We're working on it!

We are still working on getting that testing done.

You can get a bare kit and experiment with different fans and control systems. Deluxe kits come with fans, you supply the filters. We will also build complete units for you if you want something plug and play.

Details are on our website northboxsystems.ca

The Polaris is based on the open source design by Zack Deis who helped us implement a few unique modifications. Available in a single speed version for very quiet operation or with PWM control allowing the use of very high speed fans.

The standard, one-speed model will be available first followed shortly by the ULTRA which includes a PWM board for variable speed control allowing you to use fans such as the Arctic P14 Pro.

Pricing details coming soon!

Something like this might make more sense for our upcoming Polaris, it uses 2" filters but if we use 1" 3M Filtrete with a mesh pellet screen like you are making that would be pretty amazing.

That looks really cool, I'll definitely check it out!

I'll have to see if any quiet fans have been rated with enough static pressure for HDPE filters.

Thanks for the suggestions. The interesting thing is that testing by Rob Wissman shows you can get away with having filters very close to a wall before you see a significant drop in performance. We don't use USB power, a 12v / 2amp supply is included.

I'm exploring the use of mesh bags of carbon pellets suspended inside an air purifier as a possibly more effective way of dealing with VOCs.

It uses four Arctic P14 fans and two Ikea Starkvind filters. With an integrated handle, rubber feet and a wide footprint to prevent tipping.

Ideal for smaller spaces or for hospital stays. I'll have it up on our website soon.
