IMHO the direct payee/provider relationship is entirely the wrong approach to healthcare. Given the constraints, it needs to be run as a utility.

IMHO, the democratic party needs to drastically change how it talks to republican voters. This is the kind of verbal drivel they respond to and agree with; it's no wonder that the subtle common sense approach went straight over their heads.

May his name live in infamity. There's at least one of those 'Democrats' in the Senate every cycle.

I am still bitter about dropping the public option in favor of Romneycare in 2010. Of course, the Senate was the problem as much as it is now back then as well.

The tech industry is an interesting case study in how a former merit based system got suborned by the political power players.

It absolutely is, no kidding. I hope your recovery will be swift and complete!

FWIW, anecdote, not data: ultrasound treatments helped both my mum and myself with pain relief, and wearing boot braces for two months put the fasciitis into remission. Best of luck, PF is brutal.

Just to add one data point, grandma's Christmas packages for our daughter were just returned to her because of new US tariff requirements. :(

ICN (Seoul) has a Spa that you can stay in overnight. It’s amazing.

Irgendwann müssen wir mal eine Organisationsform finden, die es ermöglicht, das die Unbelehrbaren ihr eigenes Ding machen ohne den rest runterzuziehen.

Last I checked, they were murdering people offshore, abducting them in the country, dismantling democratic accountability and stealing millions out of the treasury. The issue of AI regulation doesn't come close to being at the top of my list.

IMHO the US culture of "work is everything" doesn't help. Hyperbolicaly: Most of our social interaction and sense of contribution/purpose happens in the workplace, and then people commute home and fall asleep. Third places are wildly absent.

We really need a history of all the technology that was going to revolutionize the world, and how it failed to do so while quietly, some unexpected factors turned everything upside down.

Thank you! The shaping and scoring were kind of a complete mess, but on the flip side, the super jiggly dough makes for that very open crumb, and I for one am here for the taste of Bauhaus ;)

From this morning’s bake (half of one of the loaves has already undergone thorough quality assessment)

I used to be all about rye bread, but that's too costly and finicky here, and the rest of the family prefers open crumb breads.

I've sort of landed on repeating the same old half whole wheat sourdoughs, often with Nigella or flax seed. High hydration (mostly because my experiments with dryer dough didn't end well ;)), with a base of high protein flour and long fermentation times (2/3 days typically)

Ha, exactly. The onset of colder temps gets me every year ;)

And that's why republicans sponsor independents. :(
