Yesterday, my colleagues and I attended a congressional oversight hearing on immigration operations in LA. I experienced firsthand how harmful these tactics are because I was teargassed. Our communities deserve transparency, accountability, and to be treated with dignity.

Today, we say enough. When people are hurt and disappear, there isn’t another cheek to turn. Congress must hold ICE and CBP accountable. Our communities deserve to feel safe.

Our country is facing a constitutional crisis.
When a president calls for the death of members of Congress, it’s a direct threat to our democracy and to every American.

Violence from the Oval Office is NOT normal. We must protect the rule of law.

In 2021, President Trump called for violence against Congress. Almost five years later, he’s doing it again.

This isn’t new. It’s Donald Trump’s playbook.

Hardworking Americans are being crushed by rising costs and meanwhile some in power are busy cashing in on insider trades. Congress should be fighting for families, not lining their own pockets. I’m done tolerating this corruption, and I’m fighting to shut this loophole down for good.

Today, we mourn the loss of Deputy Nuñez: husband, father, son, and hero. He gave his life protecting our community, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. To his family, loved ones, and fellow officers: we stand with you. Deputy Nuñez’s legacy of courage and service lives on.
