The minority was protected to protect SLAVERY. Read the 1619 Project. The slave states are afraid the more populous free states are going to make them stop having slaves. So we got this bullshit system that protects them.

Tha makes sense, the increase in the insurance pool is likely why it helped them if it wasn’t directly with a subsidy.

I’d like to point out that fed workers get some of the best healthcare available. They keep their healthcare even furloughed. It’s temp pain for them, literal death for anyone who can’t afford healthcare anymore with a chronic condition or major disability.

Just the enhanced, but the follow on damage will increase everyone’s cost (the insurance companies will still want their money somehow when people cancel because they can’t afford it anymore).

I am very sad they didn’t do it earlier. Not that it should be on their backs, but everyone with power should use it.

I’ve don’t the same. I also used to buy major appliances from them, but Costco got both the appliances we needed to replace in the last few months.

They are fine destroying the healthcare of millions then. Their much better healthcare than every other American outside the federal system remains safe even furloughed.

I also know what it’s like to be hungry as a kid. I also have a kid who will literally die without healthcare and is about to age off mine. Getting food to kids is infinitely easier to solve.

We can all help feed our neighbors. Are you also committed to helping them pay the extra hundreds of dollars a month they are facing for healthcare? You have no idea what it is to desperately need healthcare coverage if your answer to that is it doesn’t matter more than SNAP.

No we’re saying the loss of SNAP (something that is already being actively cut fyi) is easier to help with than an exploding healthcare bill. I can buy my neighbor food but couldn’t begin to make up an extra $500 a month in healthcare premiums for them.

Yep, truth. There’s no excuse for not paying minimum wage at least (and the overpriced canteens are just like a company store to suck the pittance wages back into the system). And work should ALWAYS be optional.
