Every day is International Punch A Nazi Day.
My son makes the green bean casserole every year. I could do without having to make a turkey AND a ham. Mac & cheese (and the ham) are for xmas.

I'm in the "Wow great movie! They say there's gonna be a sequel, maybe two!" group.

Yeah, I'm old. I saw it at a sneak preview. I would have been happy if that's all there was. You may not be old enough to understand how much that film changed SF movies. Just the first few minutes did that.

I found a reference, but it isn't "breaking" news - it's an old article.

I haven't seen this on any media. Where did this news originate?

When is the press going to tell him that his words are unacceptable?

Cowards!

Same. Where I grew up, sarcasm is an art form, but I've had to rewrite most of my posts just. in. case.

Can't wait until we get the 1st Amendment back.

(Although some people will persist in reading things the wrong way.)

I believe this country is worth saving, but not in its current configuration. Major, major changes are needed. If it means splitting off the Confederacy (they never stopped fighting, just went underground), then so be it.

...selfish, ignorant, apathetic idiots as did the Silent Generation, The so-called "Greatest Generation", the Lost Generation, and every previous generation. And, no doubt, every current and coming generation.

You speak for yourself, not for 76 million people.

Baby Boomers aren't a monolithic group. Some did (fill in the blank with favorite bad thing), some didn't (fill in the blank with favorite bad thing), some protested (fill in the blank with favorite bad thing), some were just trying to survive.

We had the same amount of...

And it's not even all white Baby Boomers. Some of us grew up poor, not "privileged".

These vast generalization about people due to their birth date is ignorant.
November 16, 2025 at 3:36 AM
I had the same naively idealistic view. As I matured into adulthood, I saw that we had the same amount of selfish, ignorant, apathetic idiots as did the Silent Generation, The so-called "Greatest Generation", the Lost Generation, and every previous generation.

We just lost a friend to agent orange cancer.
November 16, 2025 at 3:22 AM
Really? I grew up in poverty, rose to the working class, then became a "welfare mother".

Was that because of greed? What did I "squander"? WHat did I take from "our progeny"?

WTAF. Speak for yourself.

When you make a sweeping generalization about a group, it covers every individual in that group.

Baby Boomers aren't and never were a politically monolithic bloc.

I think I'll go down to my local card shop and buy a "Happy Retirement" card and send it to Chuck.

Then another to my Senator, Angus "Backstabber" King.
