I haven’t owned a gun before trump’s second term. I got one in February and turns out I’m actually a pretty decent shot so far. I also got my conceal carry license. Liberals definitely own guns too. I still believe in sensible gun laws.

They do that to teachers too.Teaching is a profession that requires earning a degree, licensure, continuing ed, using evidence-based practices/educational data that guide instruction, and much more.Yet they aren’t treated or respected as professionals.They would LITERALLY take a bullet for a child!

There is definitely room for improvement in the education system but it’s so much more than that. Blaming everything on the educational system is shortsighted. I get tired of people blaming / shitting on teachers. So many work so hard to motivate and educate students!

My signs for No Kings protest today.
One side of my protest sign has a big dark thundercloud with a huge lightning bolt striking the orange felon on the forehead and Jesus saying “Gotcha!” On the right side the sign says “NO KINGS!!!” with a poop emoji wearing a crown. This sign says “STOP INFLICTING TRAUMA ABOLISH ICE” “TRAUMA” is written in red and the rest of the text is in black. Visuals include 2 broken hearts, an ICE badge with a red circle with a red slash through it to indicate “no”, a red octagon behind the word ‘stop’ and three humans sketched in trauma. They look like scribbles but like how someone experiencing trauma would draw them.

Trump has no association with this bell, but many social justice movements do. Our country is fighting through a shitshow rn and this bell is a reminder that the fight continues. This meme is like putting a taco in the hand of the Statue of Liberty, insulting. Info from the National Park Service:
The Meaning The State House bell became a herald of liberty in the 19th century. "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants thereof," the bell's inscription, provided a rallying cry for abolitionists wishing to end slavery. The Anti-Slavery Record, an abolitionist publication, first referred to the bell as the Liberty Bell in 1835, but that name was not widely adopted until years later. Millions of Americans became familiar with the bell in popular culture through George Lippard's 1847 fictional story "Ring, Grandfather, Ring", when the bell came to symbolize pride in a new nation. Beginning in the late 1800s, the Liberty Bell traveled across the country for display at expositions and fairs, stopping in towns small and large along the way. For a nation recovering from wounds of the Civil War, the bell served to remind Americans of a time when they fought together for independence.
