They're saying she seems more herself today, which is good, so I'm hoping this was nothing more than perhaps a reaction to new meds, dehydration, or similar. Hopefully, she'll start asking for her daily Irish coffee soon, then we'll know she's right as rain

The point of this post
It's at times like this (everyone in the same situation knows what I'm going to say) that you really feel how far away you are and the sense of helplessness kicks in as you realize once again how totally reliant you are on others keeping you in the loop about what's going on.

She's 86, so I'm hoping at some point today they'll find a bed in a ward for her, and she doesn't have to spend another night in the ER.

She's still in the ER, bloods & CT came back fine but she has to wait until tomorrow for neuro to check her as they only work weekdays (I don't know if that's because of budget cuts or it's just the way neuro works in Ireland).
