I went up to my cousins cabin the other day and gods does it make me wish there was more nature around me, my bf and I hiked up two mountains in the day we were there, one at dusk and the other at dawn the next day, I would totally do it more if the nearest trail wasn’t 20 miles away
A collection of aspen trees poking up from a field of yellow flowering plants (~1-2 ft tall) Aspen trees are actually all the same organism, they share the same root system making them extremely resilient, and a pain if they’re in your yard haha, Utah is actually home to one of the largest, oldest, and heaviest living organism on earth, a network of aspen trees named Pando the Tree A sunset view with a line of this spruce-like trees (not sure exact species) past a hill of green shrubs, beyond the trees you can see two low slopes of the Rocky Mountains with the great salt lake visible in the distance A view of the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains stretching miles and miles into the distance, in the forefront is a mountain used for skiing, you can tell by the cleared dirt paths and the stretches of grasses cleared of trees, the blue sky is scattered with thin high altitude clouds, I love seeing this side of the mountains, it gives my a glimpse into what the native people here used to see A rocky hillside with dry grasses overlooking a group of dirt roads where the cabins are located, behind are more mountains used for skiing and the same clouds as the last in the sky, though they are less scattered and more like a blanket

I got myself something for the first time in months (lol poor) and very happy about im, and got im for only $8
A rotund whale plush (VERY squishy, one arm hug size) it’s a greyish brown, it has quarter sized embroidered black eyes and a small embroidered pink blush spot below the eyes, it has two little stuffed fins (and tail) and a stuffed water spout out the crown of the head. It’s placed on a bed in a very brown room where you can see to the right, a dresser (same color as the walls lol), a laundry basket with a thin white box on top, and from the left the corner of a messy table, and led light strip glowing orange (I don’t love orange but it casts a nice light on the room) and my altar. The same plush but you can see his tummy, which is patterned like a kiwi (fruit)(also it’s a different material which is supposedly “cooling,” it is cooler to the touch but immediately warms up like everywhere else once you lay on it)

I have a birthday party (for three people) to go to today, very excited to give my friends the stuffed animals I was able to get :)

What’s happening in my city, it’ll only get worse if this “beautiful” bill is passed
In DESPRATE need need of 54 dollars for my husband’s Madd. He was kicked of Medicaid we just found out last week when we went to pick up his prescription. Willing to do yard work of any kind and I personally also have experience in home cleaning. Don’t know what to do. We are both out of work rn and are trying to survive with our son. The last two months have been extremely hard for us. If anyone needs help with yard work please reach out. He has been out of mess (meds) for two days now and we desperately need to get them.

I took this picture a bit ago of an Eastern Redbud I walked by, just looked back on it and it’s nicccccce
The trunk of an eastern redbud, the trunk is shaped like two wishbones in one column and all over the trunk (and I mean ALL over there’s not more than a few inches between each of the closest ones) are poofy looking balls of tiny pink flowers, their stigma and stamen (pollen/gamete dealing areas) poking out above the petals, in some areas they are more dense and add little spots of gold between the pink petals. The poofy balls of flowers are more or less the size of your hand flat on a table, out of some are crispy brown dead leaves that have not fallen off yet, up in the crown of the tree (the normal leaf area) is primarily spotted with more small pink flowers the only leaves being groups of three or four at the very tip of branches. The bees were LOVING this tree

Tardigrades are the only living thing on the planet without microplastics in them
