I was not aware of the environmental impact that Generative AI has.

Okay, that makes sense. It is better to just reference the artist, give credit to them, than use AI where you really can't credit anyone, but everyone is stolen from.

My question is more coming from a place of ignorance and just a general lack of understanding. I know AI art is considered bad for numerous reasons. But using it as a tool, for things like composition, or a pose idea, not just tracing it.

I have a question. I'm not asking this to be different or to go against what was said, I'm just genuinely curious and wanting to learn.

What is wrong with artists using AI art as a reference, for their work? I'm someone who wants to get into art, and learn to draw. so why is this considered bad?

I don't say this as means to devalue other peoples work, or their time or anything. There are people out there who get paid to do quite a bit less. Drawing in my opinion is a valuable skill, and really hard, it might not be dangerous like other lines of work, but it is still a career and a job.

I get what you mean. I will say I have seen stories of people who've had jobs that is just moving information from one spreadsheet to another. Nothing else, someone was able to automate this work and worked at a job for a few years just watching TV or something while his work got done for him.

drawabox.com is a website someone showed me, maybe there is something in their lessons that might help you. I'm just a beginner artist, just learning to draw a circle, and square, not sure if this is helpful. btu I've done a lot of research and I'm always willing to help :3

I can see why you think your art is flat, but it is definitely not boring. I personally really like your style, and i want to learn to emulate that style.

Maybe Perspective and Foreshortening might be what is getting at you.

Okay, I will look into it! I'm also aware of Proko, as when I was trying to do initial research on drawing their name come up quite a bit. If you have any specific videos of theirs that you think might be helpful, do let me know.
