I am seriously tired of people using the term "active shooter." I feel it is a Carlin-like marketing term to whitewash the "gun" away from the act as part of what it is. An "active shooter" is a term Nike would use for a biathlete not an "Armed Threat." Still need a better term, point the gun out.

Always remember, though, it is easy to forget with all the chaos. The republicans are not unfit at this moment to lead because they are doormats, but because they cannot and will not work together on legislation other than boondoggles and tax cuts. Republican unity ends there.

Idea a temporary tax break and benefits for single parents who by no fault of theirs, are widows/widowers, abused, spouse abandoned, or have received significant medical debt to part of their family? We should do more for acute time-limited needs with welfare and taxation for people most at risk.

The healthcare problems in the US are so bad that there is more stigma to using medically approved drugs for mental illness for mental health than there is for hard illegal drugs in a lot of areas. Let that sink in. I think a LOT of our problems with substance abuse is we are self-medicating.

"Affordability is a con job" makes me think someone does not understand Affordability, what a con is, and what people have jobs for, and why they are unhappy when those jobs do not make things affordable because of convicts.
