I thought boats had to be electric inside the Prinzengracht?

Why many countries are already giving Ukraine the income from the assets. Throwing all that money at Ukraine would just overinflate their economy.
Collapsing the russian economy while dangling that juicy varrot in front of wannabe successors is more worrying for vlad.

Like hostages or nukes, the frozen assets, have more power unspent.
The fact that there is so much russian money available while the country goes destitute is powerful incentive for someone to topple putin and make peace.
But once you spend it, its gone forever.

Do you know why they were using oil? There was surely plenty of gas capacity available.
December 10, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Not far off 1 million BEV months becoming a regular occurrence there.
December 9, 2025 at 9:07 PM
It will be an outlier because November is one of the lowest months for registrations in Ireland. And in raw numbers, November BEV sales were down 32% YoY.
December 9, 2025 at 6:41 PM
As oil is fungible I would rather Norwegians put oil profits into BEVs than leave the market to the russians and saudis giving them even more money to things like invading your neighbours, or wahhabism.

For electricity the Isle of Man is connected to GB by an AC connection so it shares the same frequency and is part of the GB island grid. Shetland is connected by a HVDC line, it produces its own frequency and is its own separate grid island.

TLDR. A blackout in GB, IOM loses power, Shetland not
December 7, 2025 at 9:30 AM
The grid has no problem charging EVs, its not like everyone plugs in at once. And because of pricing, most charging is done overnight.

As for the rest of your maths, I might suggest taking off your shoes and socks.

Isn't that where they load oil for Crimea?
December 5, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Are you a kremlin psy-op?

Squandering limited resources to put oil-slicks on your allies beaches has to be one of the dumbest things I ever heard. Its the sort of plan a russian would come up with.
December 1, 2025 at 8:53 PM
The russians are desperate for cash, and the two ships being hit is going to add an extra premium to any future loadings. No way they will be returning with anything that can be pumped out.
December 1, 2025 at 12:03 AM
I take it that was arbitage and not an emergency intervention for maintaining frequency?
November 30, 2025 at 12:31 AM
I see this more as a rebuke against putin by the Turks for attacking their LPG tanker last week in Ukraine.

Its not likely Ukraine attacked vessels so close to Türkiye without talking to Erdoğan first.
November 29, 2025 at 10:26 PM
Maybe they have stripped out the anti spall liners too, and there plenty of orcs with more than just a headache inside.
November 29, 2025 at 10:16 PM
I was surprised too, when I heard they struck so close to Turkey.
Erdoğan has to have been in the loop. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they even offered the co-ordinates to Ukraine without being asked.
November 29, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Curiously, they were also done not far from Turkey a week after russia hit a Turkish LPG tanker in Odessa.
November 29, 2025 at 4:35 PM
The debris has an unhappy knack of hitting military targets.
Maybe the russians should quit shooting them down.
November 29, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Often during war pragmatism is required to try and avoid pushing bystanders into your foes arms.

For example, in this case it is likely that Turkey gave the nod for these attacks because russia hit a Turkish LPG tanker.

I suspect most of this info is being given to them by US govt officials who don't agree with this policy.
November 29, 2025 at 11:57 AM
russia claimed to have resumed loading a few days later. Though at what rate, I don't know.
November 29, 2025 at 11:16 AM
It does however negatively impact the amount of money available to finance the war. And no amount of sticking his head up his ass will alter that.
November 29, 2025 at 11:12 AM
It doesn't matter. The owners of these vessels will now realise there is increased risk. The cost of getting them to ship russian oil is going to get quite a bit more expensive. Assuming there are owners willing to risk losing their ship.

In Irish, the name Éimear is pronounced completely different to eimear.

I don't think any of the shadow fleet have insurance. Certainly not from one that you might reasonably expect to pay out.
