For now we have housing projects like German "Sindicate". It's collective property buying with a catch. Check them out.

I mean they can ask you to take the mask off (in some circumstances they have "right" to do it), but no one can ask you to remove paint from your face.

Some peeps here in Europe (especially in France) have been doing it for a while now.
Also I've seen that article that showed how to paint your face to confuse face recognition systems. I guess when you think of wearing mask, it'd be redundant, but two layers of resistance are better than one :D
