These are one of the less common hummingbirds here, as they are usually found at higher elevations. They will come down during wet, cold weather.

She hurt her wing 3 summers ago and we thought she might not migrate. Her baby stayed with her late, but they eventually left
We worried, but last spring here she was, walking up the fence with her droopy wing!
This year, same thing! That wing droops but she flys!
