How did we pay so little? Follow the cars!
Prices usually drop where supply is highest. At BER Airport, there were tons of cars available. So we grabbed a T-Roc for €34/day, far cheaper than renting from city branches.

Because we already have an annual car hire excess insurance policy (€116.97/year), all we needed from Europcar was the basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).
No need for overpriced “All Inclusive Protection.” Our policy covers up to €12,000 in excess worldwide.

In 2024, we tried hiking Wolfberg Cracks, but Chloe’s food poisoning & our poor accommodation choices tanked our effort. Last month, we returned to Cape Town for redemption. I got food poisoning this time, but we powered through! Proof it was worth every moment!
