New Orleans
Also, if you’re planning a trip to the Christmas markets or a winter European trip, check out my Christmas markets shopping list. I learned a lot of lessons last year and made adjustments for this year. Example: I am NOT bringing any sweaters with acrylic or polyamide.

Every year, I explain to the same people that it’s you are not supposed to give up, that it’s not considered proper etiquette. Every year they tell me, “I’ve never heard that.” 🙄 If you love giving gifts to your boss(es), I love that for you but it shouldn’t be company culture.

This was in my featured photos 🥰 It’s the Christmas market at Belvedere Palace in Vienna. I am counting the days until Belgium!

My favorite sneakers are my Coolway Kizunas in pink crayon. They are really low profile and I wanted something *slightly* more substantial. I really thought I wanted metallic ones but I ended up with these Coolway Kiros.

I got this.

Brunch at Saint Claire really turned this day around. Highly recommend.

The last cocktail they made us was a Hurricane. Peychaud’s Bar uses Fassionola from Cocktail & Sons (a syrup used in the 50s for the original Hurricane). They also use a Louisiana rum, Cheramie Rum, infused with strawberries. I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. It was delicious!

Of course they taught us how to make a Sazerac but if you know me, you know I hate brown liquor. I’m sure this is great for Sazerac lovers but I was not converted.

Yesterday I was invited to a cocktail class at Peychaud’s Bar in The Celestine (14 room hotel on Toulouse). Peychaud’s Bar is managed by Cure Co. and features classic cocktails. The first drink they made us was a French 75. This was so delicious. If you love a French 75, you need to try theirs.

What exactly do you consider fall weather? I need it to be cooler than this. I normally don’t mind warm weather but I am done.

These are water meter covers but similar vibes.

I just bought two pairs of gold sneakers 😬 I will only keep one. If I don’t like either one, I’ll buy these. Believe it or not, the Cole Haan sneakers were significantly cheaper. They are also a true gold.

It’s a little early to be thinking about Mardi Gras but anything purple, green, & gold will always catch my eye. These are from Gola. They are also available from Anthropologie but they are out of some sizes.

I like that the Skeleton House features people who are alive. I like that the Skeleton House pays tribute to people who are dead. There is something that weirds me out about mixing them together.
Anyway, here’s some Local Icons, both dead and alive.

I don’t think this is new but it’s in a more prominent spot — Sidney Torres and his lemony freshness.

I stopped by the Skeleton House this morning.

Lol. I am always at work/never home so I keep getting good Personalized Home Energy Reports from Entergy. I’m using less than my efficient neighbors. (Nothing about my apartment is energy efficient.)

St. Pizza has one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the city. If you order it in the restaurant, they serve it warm. They will heat them up at the to go counter too.

I know this is extremely niche but if you’re in New Orleans and craving chicken parm, you need to go to St. Pizza. It’s so good. Two people could definitely share this, especially if you got one of their salads (also shareable).

Y’all. For your next special occasion, you want to go to Mamou. They brought me Riz au Lait Brûlée (essentially crème brûlée rice pudding), the cutest little bottle of an after dinner drink, and a card. Everything before that was delicious too.

That would be Entergy 😉
