Pardon, What's the difference between the PL and not PL versions? And I'm getting this notice in cart that says "Customer matched zone "Locations not covered by your other zones". Is shipping to the states available or do I need to hold off/make other arrangements?

There's an option in the update menu and if that doesn't work you may need a recovery cd or to boot into safe mode/recovery mode.

Nope. Haven't heard that one either. Makes sense though. I grew up with only Nintendo in the house. The first PlayStation to enter the walls was the PS2 which was the first console I ever bought for myself. And I was all over SquEnix and Capcom games.
