My 55 gallon tank is settling in well.

I need more algae and wood bacteria growth before bringing in a pleco.

I'm also planning to add a colony of Bolivian Rams, micro earth eaters to help clean the sand.

And finally a rainbow shark. But much later.

The baby pearl gouramis seem to be enjoying their new home as well.

I've added some inquisitive baby pearl gouramis to hopefully lower the hormones.

It seems to have worked!

Pearl gouramis are one of the few larger gourami species that can be kept in groups. Most need a single male w/2-3 females.

I like this tank vibe.

This is mating behavior by my baby little flag fish! They're not even half sized yet!

I saw the dominant of the 3 males pin one female to a tree by encircling her.

The dominant male Black Ruby Barb's color changed completely in less than an hour!

One minute he had a slight pink to his striped body (like the earlier video below). The next moment I noticed he looked like this!

This is Bonkers!

ONLY 2 DAYS in their new tank and the Black Buby Barbs are ALREADY MATING!

This is literally the first thing they've done after swimming back and forth for two solid days.

They REALLY love the flow a hang on back w/12" tank width!
