I truly believe this, naive it may be.
We are better than this.
Hello America,

It's a shame we don't actually require elected officials to answer to their constituents and voters. If we could have no-confidence or return votes when needed it would probably have helped some of this by now.

Anybody else wonder what it's like to have a place and people that feel like home?

America is The Bad Place pretending to be The Good Place.

How weird would it be if our government worked for the people who pay for it with our taxes, instead of whatever the fuck this is?

I wish I could overcome this feeling. After the last 6 months or so, it would be nice to feel important to someone, somewhere.

It would be cool if I could manifest a mysterious benefactor or maybe a magic lamp. Ya know?

I think one of the largest contributing factors to the current state of the world, is that 99% of politicians, truly give zero fucks about the people that vote for them. We're just ignorant plebs to them, and without changing that, nothing will change.

The most incompetent authoritarian takeover in history is being opposed by the most cowardly political opposition in history. This is all so remarkably stupid and depressing.

We're doomed as long as we keep insisting on letting the worst of us be in charge. I wouldn't let most elected officials watch my dog for a weekend, but we trust these people with our lives and well being.

One of the funny things things about UFOs and extra solar objects to me, is our arrogance in assuming that we would be remotely capable of detecting the workings of an advanced extra-terrestrial society if they didn't want us to do so. If you had sufficient mastery of the material universe to ->

'Centrism' is as much to blame for our current predicament as conservatism. Our entire government is so far to the right compared to most other democratic nations is insane. If we can't embrace true progressive ideas to build a better future, we'll be condemned to rot and be a footnote of history.

I'd give anything for 20 minutes or something to talk to someone with the means and inclination to truly make a difference. We need to do something that crosses walls, echo chambers, and brings together those that can help to fix our society. I know there must be someone willing to help, right?

If the events of the last decade haven't proven we need to rethink our entire system of government, I really don't know if there's much hope for us. Why do we insist on clinging to outdated, harmful, and stupid? Just because that's how it's always been?
