President Obama was a good president but he prioritized consensus over good policy and politics too many times. Letting Wall Street CEOs off the hook, shutting down OFA after the election, surrendering on the Scalia seat. He wanted normalcy when the country wanted a fighter.

In addition to the horrible physical and emotional toll this will inflict on individuals, families, and the entire Charlotte community, this is a profoundly stupid move politically. These raids are galvanizing trad Rs against Trump. This makes flipping Tillis’ seat so much easier.

The sweet irony is that if she does pull her vote, it sinks her SC guv chances, which were not great to start with. MAGA won’t forgive her.

I figured one of the Rs would back off, likely Mace. She’s desperate after she went Karen on the airport cops. Petitioners can likely get the vote back after the TX-18 runoff.

So, let me get this straight:
1) Randomly increase tariffs on goods.
2) Watch prices predictably increase on said goods.
3) Use tariff revenue to send a one-off $2K check to help buy said higher-priced goods.
I think there was an easier way to do this.
