For years a huge proportion of maples in Storrs have browned out and dropped their leaves by mid-September because of anthracnose infection. It's been a huge loss for fall color, so I'm grateful to this spectacular red maple for avoiding that and holding out so late into the season.

I'm currently reviewing job apps, and I had an immediate negative reaction to a bullet-pointed list in a cover letter that evoked chatGPT styling because it instantly signaled bad faith to me. 5 years ago I would have been like "thank you for the bullet points!"
