Length of a story doesn’t correlate to how good a story is. Media and art is subjective not objective, and there is tons of manga/anime that have great stories and are shorter than DBZ.
The Frieza saga ended at like chapter 325ish.

I agree with what you said to some extent and I love everything about dragon ball, z, super, and to some extent GT. It’s what got me into anime and manga.
The whole ladder of sSSJ transformations really bothers me and you’re right Super does well to make everyone their own person

It makes more sense to end on that note. We have all this build up to becoming “the legendary Super Saiyan” and after the Frieza a saga Toriyama becomes Oprah.
