I'm at least 2/3 (maybe 3/4) through 1984... I just finished Part 2, Chapter 9 (aka the 40 page section from The Book). Unfortunately it's very much become a "this is such a slog but it's important" book, like Frankenstein did. And I'm glad I read Frankenstein.

I've been struggling with my apartment being 10-12C and not wanting to run the heat. I bought an electric blanket. It sucks for keeping my hands warm. Today, I picked up some 200円 gloves at Daiso. Only the index finger and thumb are cut off. they're great except that my index finger GETS SO COLD.

Made some styling progress for NeatNest. It's almost completely Vuetify'd now but the spacing is still janky and not standardized. I just want to finish this so I can implement the last of the actual features (friends, money, shop restocking, trading) and show it to people :V

Wheeeeee you can draw on the pixel canvas, upload your pet or item, and then have it display. Neatnest is coming along... (I am trying not to question how useful it is to build this on Amplify and whether or not it's a waste of my time)

Also I keep saying "yeah no I can barely speak Japanese" (I know I make a shitton of grammatical errors) but I DID just tell the lady at the grocery store "oh my gosh I'm so sorry but I left my wallet in my car, can I run out and get it really quickly?!" and she understood (not super high level tho)

Having floor length doors that you can't see the light inside when they're shut is nice until you leave the light on in the closet while you're gone because you can't tell it's on.

Okay it turns out that since I made my app from scratch instead of from one of the templates, I was inadvertently using Amplify V1. V2 is much easier to control in the GUI. I spent all day recreating it and fixing dumb errors but it's coming along.

Meanwhile, I got a library card at the local library today!!! And then I ran other errands. Is it just me or is it crazy that even though BookOff and HomeOff or whatever the fuck are in the same store, you have to check out at separate counters.
