This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think that the protestors in the USA who are waving the Mexico flag are hurting their cause by playing into the idea that there is a 'foreign invasion'. If it were American flags being flown, the folks who are on the fence would be more likely to relate.

I first read one of his books when he was writing for Star Trek. His novels in that world are wonderful, and I still have copies of all of them.

It always boggles my mind that I, a journalist, am expressly forbidden from trading stocks, but members of Congress, with vastly greater knowledge of market-moving news, are allowed to profit by front-running markets, and so may profit by in essence stealing from the public they represent.

Everything coming out of the USA that has the government being not just complicit but co-operating and actively supporting the dismantling of all possible legal checks and balances, I just get sicker. I never bought into US exceptionalism, but I genuinely thought better of of them than this. #uspoli
