2: i am (as the person in my household/friend group who is often/usually in charge of the fire) very prone to armchair quarterbacking the fire construction and maintenance. i am v satisfied when it is built and burns well; i judge them if they poke it too much.

however, as the algorithm has learned what i prefer and started offering it to me, i’m noticing that these videos have specialty info, like how it’s assembled, and what kind of wood is burning. i love this?? it would not occur to me to wonder if this is birch or red cedar or ash, but SOMEONE cares!!

…as opposed to AI generated ones or ones that are just a two minute loop of the same video. i want to see several hours of an actual fire getting lit, burning, getting poked at, going to coals and ash. it’s a more realistic experience, and i enjoy the occasional random hand that appears onscreen lol
