The first time this hit me was when one of my professors referred to some theorem as a technology.
i randomly thought about this thread, looked up the term “technology” from wikipedia and i felt my mind expand!

all my life i’d understood “technology” in its narrower sense—electronic devices, genetic engineering, etc.

when in reality it’s just the application of knowledge that’s reproducible!
