Oh, it's the 1957 Soviet animated version, except we didn't actually have the movie (or anything to watch it on, for that matter) but a record+book combo (also it was in English. Probably excerpted from the English dub).

"Men are incapable of restraining their sexual urges" / "Women are incapable of restraining their sexual urges"

These are both stereotypes that exist under patriarchy, and somehow the solution to both of them is less freedom for women, and never less freedom for men.

There are stereotypes about men being incapable, though, like "men are incapable of running a household" (so women have to do it for them). There are also cases where the same negative stereotypes exist about men and women in different cultures or even somehow in the same culture... (continued)
