The problem was that originally Biden was supposed to be a one term “transitional” president. When Biden decided to run for a second term there was a lot of quiet concern among Democrats. Pelosi, Schumer, et al should have protested loudly when Biden announced and encouraged others to run.

The kicker is that in some poor rural areas (in red districts) health care organizations are the largest employers. What happens when there are Medicaid and Medicare cuts force these places to cut jobs?
