I forgot to post about it this year when it happened, but Summer Games Done Quick wrapped up a few days ago, and I attended in person for the second time! I'd highly recommend the runs of Super Mario Odyssey, AEW Fight Forever, and especially the Super Metroid Race.

AGDQ ended about a week ago, and I never posted my thoughts so here you go: It was very good! In particular, I'd recommend Zelda: The Wind Waker, Shadow Generations, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Rocket League, GTA: Vice City, Crazy Taxi, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and ESPECIALLY Super Metroid.

Nintendo basically just said "Fine. Here's the console. You guys sucked out any of the hype it would have through all the leaks, so here, have the most straightforward, matter-of-fact trailer we can make. No teasing, no build-up, just the thing itself. You're fucking welcome."

I forgot to post it yesterday when it started, but Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 is going on right now! Yesterday's runs were great, and I'm especially looking forward to the Ocarina of Time randomizer run on the final day.

I really hope this place can be what Twitter used to. A fun, active place to keep tabs on people you want to follow. Less algorithmic bullshit, no swarms of bots, no far-right extremists. Time will tell, but I'm hopeful!
