In the late 90's, a japanese N64 magazine hosted a contest where the winner would be put in Mother 3. The winner ended up being 12 year old Hiroki Mukodani. He was going to have a small storyline where he'd go missing, and later be found at Thomas's Bazaar.

A few Gamecube games came in colored cases in Europe. Mario Sunshine came in this Discord ass purple-blue, Zelda Collector's Edition in blue, Double Dash in red, and Wind Waker's Limited Edition in gold.

Somehow, the legendarily shit review show Gaming in the Clinton Years managed to get (as far as I can tell) exclusive beta footage of Donkey Kong Country 2. And they only ended up using it as B-roll. Amazing.
