It seems Glasgow’s switch from one bike share scheme to another wasn’t *quite* as peaceful as I initially thought
Two of the new Voi rental e-bikes are parked at what used to be a Nextbike station. One of the now-unusable Nextbikes is laying on its side next to them, with its rear wheel dangling off the edge of the pavement

Helped out with a big launch at work today and it's gone pretty well ⛵️

Last Friday I shipped a partial rewrite of a service that I'd been working on for months, and it was scary, but it's paid off today. Normally it'd have been on fire by this point, but it's just... working. I'm very proud :3c

Here are some random photos I’ve taken recently
An absolutely huge inflatable yellow creature is holding a big “Digimon” sign in its lap and sitting in front of a Digimon banner. Seen at the Bandai Namco store in Camden, London A sign on the side of a train station kiosk lists food they sell like Curry, Breakfast Baps, Fried Chicken, Patty’s, Cake and Pasta. It’s all in the same font but each entry is a wildly different size, with some of the text being squished while other words are stretched out in a comical fashion A blåhaj plushie is balanced on the top of a Sound Voltex arcade machine, staring at the player A sign taped to the glass window of an abandoned storefront advertises an “Oasis Sale” with greyscale photos of two of the band members. Trying the new bike share scheme in Glasgow and I’m somewhat unimpressed. You now pay by the minute (which can be as high as 16p/min pay-as-you-go), which feels to me like it’ll encourage unsafe riding. There’s a direct financial incentive to run red lights because it’ll make your trip cheaper!

While walking down Camden High Street this afternoon I had two different people try to sell me on getting a tattoo or a piercing (okay I can see why they’d try to ask me), and one try to offer me “weed or coke”

I did not take up any of these offers

Unsure what to do with ~4 hours in London on a Sunday so I’m going to check out the capitalism hellscape that is the huge Westfield shopping centre at Shepherd’s Bush (not to be confused with the other Westfield on the Central Line of course)

Played some rhythm games for the first time today and I wasn’t *completely* awful — just a little awful???

I have also now learned that when I’m browsing a list full of Japanese song and artist names that I can’t read, then looking for Toby Fox bangers is usually a safe bet

Is the left machine broken or is it actually a special photo booth that stretches your pictures beyond recognition for fun? We may never know
Two “Photo-Me” automated photo booths right next to each other. Both have a screen displaying the same advert with a stock photo and “42% Faster!”, but the one on the left is rendering it rotated 90 degrees and at the wrong aspect ratio

Reluctantly flipping myself back from “Released” to “Normal” as Monday approaches
a small compartment in a train’s doorframe covered by plexiglass. it contains a red lever that’s set to “Normal”, and an arrow indicates that you can rotate it clockwise to change to “Released”
