Kagura isnt from the moon? Its literally in her name and origin from shinto. Im not really getting on her because she just appeared. It was a legit jolt, when reading it weekly. Thats not the point im making. When zabusa died or even when Asuka died, there was weight to it. The story telling was tight and gritty. The nature of being a shinobi or a weapon for your village was established. Edo tensei showing up with orochimaru still had signifcant limits.

They just left kurenai to rot and thats just something I consider. Akatsuki was dope til black zetsu just ruined everything in the 11th hour. Could have been a good conclusion with madara reversing his death and completing akatsuki but nah.. they had to do the moon people thing. For me its not it

I think i see what you mean by your first comment. At least for me in early Naruto, there was a real grittyness to the stakes involved. Neji dying when Kakashi literally came back from the dead is a slap in the face and by that time the slugs were out. Asumas death hit hard in the manga
