The sad news is I did find the third; it didn't land properly on the hardwood and never had a chance :(
I ended up clearing the area as best I could (They're on a can being extra careful) and put down some foam mats for the little flyers to have a softer landing for when they are kicked out soon.

About a week and change later I came back for a few more shots. They're huge and down to three. Initially assuming one got kicked out because the two of them hardly even fit in the nest now.

So my deck routinely gets Wood Thrusts nesting and i thought this year I'd document it.
I've tried to do this in past years but having lost a phone to the dive bombs...
Anyway this is mom and her mid-nesting. she'd eventually have 3 eggs in total, so i caught her mid laying!
