I haven't really used a mandoline extensively but we had this thing for prep back in the day to chop onions. The grid was super sharp...you brought back some ... interesting memories.

So @dungeonalchemist.com has these challenges and I wasn't really aware of them but a 9x6 map challenged seemed fun and I could not help myself. The map itself is public at the link below and there are some pics attached for fun.

Cozy door imbedded into a rock wall with moss and plants and mushrooms about and a single lantern on a rock outcrop nearby. A view just above the single bed. No ranger wants company sleeping over. There is a lyre and some books along with a few glowing mushrooms and a small rug for comfort. The "open concept" kitchen and dining room. Just enough space for have a few party members over for a short adventure plotting session. Otherwise a stove and comforts of home with a moss covered floor and a pile of mushrooms growing under the shelves.

The really neat thing about Dungeon Alchemist maps like I posted the other day is you can take snaps or video of the character's point of view for a room or obstacle and do things like light torches or not. #ttrpg @dungeonalchemist.com
View as if standing in the room on the attached map looking at 3 coffins lit by an eerie blue light nearby. Another view as if standing next to the underground river you can just barely see a coffin in the darkness in this photo in the room on the other side of that river. Similar view as if standing next to the underground river but this time one torch is lit in the room on the other side of that river clearly outlining the coffin and statue atop it.

Handle with care...

This ring could drastically imbalance anything low level. I would hold onto this for medium to high level players. I can imagine this being an awesome ring for a creepy/dark player or a bug ranger!

Brood Ring (Insect) Ring, Very Rare A golden ring with a cluster of four amber colored stones. Each stone has swirling shadows within. The stones are actually egg cases holding summoned creatures. Each midnight 1d4 empty egg cases contained in this ring are filled at random based on the table below. Each is summoned as though *Giant Insect* was cast and then held in an egg case on the ring until released. While wearing this ring you can release one of the giant insects that is held in an egg case as a bonus action. Any creature released in this way appears within 5' of the wearer. The wearer of the ring can only select from what is contained in the ring and has no control over what is summoned each night. Roll 1d6 1or 2 is Spider 3 or 4 is Wasp 5 or 6 is Centipede

Glass Tortoise Wonderous Item, Very Rare (requires attunement) An amulet of crystalline blue sea glass imprisoned in a copper cage covered in runes. The amulet has 5 charges and regains 1d4 charges daily at dawn. While wearing the amulet, you can use a reaction to expend charges to form an imperceptible shell that surrounds yourself or any target within 30ft. If you choose to spend 1 charge the shell will block a single attack, shattering like glass and dissipating harmlessly. If you expend 2 charges the shell bursts back upon the attacker as slivers of glass. The glass does an equal amount of damage as the original strike that was blocked as pure magical force. Once cast the shield will remain in place for 10 minutes or until shattered. -Written by Dan Salvucci

A tarnished copper heart amulet wound about a fossilized shard of dark green wood. To bond this item you must press your finger against the wood soaked in the sap of an ancient tree spirit. Upon succumbing to a final injury you shall not perish. The surrounding flora shall take you into the earth and heal you very slowly. Forever changed physically and mentally but whole albeit patched together with what the forest can provide.
