I have given up planning to see my family in NY and Texas. Too high a risk due to my work and also, if I am honest, being mixed race. Perhaps an overblown fear, but is definitely giving me significant worries

I guess I say "best" cause I have become so cynically detached from what this means. Football fans are having to consider their safety and what they say to be able to follow their beloved team. It is a horrific indictment of where we are now

That is what is terrifying so many of the people I know and overhear up here. The joy has been immediately tempered by this realisation.

I agree it is pandering but to see it leaking into influencing the writing, filming, editing and directing a film is so glaringly horrible
