The art is so pretty too!
I really liked the heroine (she is voiced!!!) and her girl friends.
Is it the start of a physical collection?

That being said : I like exploring in the game. I like the music. I like dressing up Nikki.
I don't play a lot: most of 1.X I logged on like 10-15 days a month max for 5 minutes, just long enough do the dailies and grab the freebies given by logging in.

I know the main story gets pretty dark, with people being kidnapped and kept captive for 15 years, whole worlds being destroyed, but I don't think the presentation helps when we get the story delivered by cute sparkly blue fairies, creepy sentient cloth bags and sentient mushrooms.

My impression is still that the presentation of the story seems to aim at a really young audience, so it is frustrating to me as an adult. It's not "I want more grit/dark" , it's "I feel like characters are from a cartoon aimed at children, not aimed at families."

Because it's fun to take our hearts and step on them while the author cackles in glee!

From my experience, stars need to align just right.
