For example, place Pitch Ramp before an oscillator and set Interval to 50 ms and Range to -24 semitones for a punchy attack.

In Mela, modulators can modulate their own parameters, turning simple modulation signals into more complex ones.
e.g. modulating an LFO’s Rate with itself transforms a sinusoid into a dynamic, bouncing-style modulation shape that can be visualised using the LFO’s oscilloscope.

Mela provides many ways to add randomness to your presets. MIDI Source gives you a simple way to generate a random modulation value on every note-on.
Just set the Input Source parameter to Random on Note-On.

Dragging a Group module into empty space creates a lane and moves its submodules into that lane.
Dragging a lane onto another lane inserts it as a Group module.

There are many ways to create ring modulation in Mela, but one of the most flexible is using the Stack module.
Stack lets you combine signals in different ways. When set to Ring Mod mode, it multiplies the audio outputs of all its submodules.

Set Input Source to Note-On/Off Gate to get a velocity-sensitive gate, which can replace an envelope in some cases. Use Smooth to soften the transitions.
