I am currently hooked on the game in the first image, the first I ever loved (from 1982!)
My all-time favourite is in the second image, thrashing a bike on max stars in an attempt to lap the map. (I've managed it in San Andreas, IV, and V.)
And you know what? They are *exactly the same game* :)

Right! It's a conversation. The wild part is that by myself, I can't invent that stuff — I'm just not a naturally funny person. Yet I'd 'talk' to that dog and it would pour out.

My correspondents were almost exclusively Māori, and many presumed me to be taking a "colonizer" tone with them. In hindsight, I'm not sure that falling back on my very British formality and curtesy was necessarily the best approach to take. Eventually, I tried to lay things out plainly.

It has the 'American' meaning here also, it's just less popular now (perhaps due to the slang usage). I remember fondly the New Years gathering when my politely-spoken German grandmother was made aware, to the family's great amusement, of another definition of this word.
