You may be asking, "NightParadox, where the hell did you decide to disappear to for over a year?" I will admit that the answer is mostly depressing. Toward the middle of 2024, my mental health started to take a nosedive hard. My preexisting mental issues were exacerbated by a lifetime of trauma and abuse that was now coming back around and slamming me in the face. I have also gotten into my fair share of spats, drama, and bad decision-making over the years, and that was something that I felt very ashamed of. I was dealing with an incredibly stressful IRL situation on top of all of this. I determined that I really did not stand much of a chance of having a stable, healthy, kind adult life without a major dose of healing and outside assistance. The situation became worse and worse until I determined that the best course of action was to quit content creation for a while, focus on healing, and especially focus on becoming a better person overall. So that is what I have been up to for about a year. A lot of it is very personal and does not need to be aired out online, but I also wanted to be open about it and show that healing is possible. My situation is still not amazing, but I am doing much better than I was, and I am very proud to admit that. I have wronged a lot of people. Some in small ways, some in much larger ways. To all of those people, I want you to know that I am sorry. Nothing I can say or do can change that, but I hope that I can show through my actions that I am a different person from who I was, and do some good along the way.
