Here is mostly politics, food; fetish stuff on the alt. TERFs not welcome.
It sounds like she's had some awful experiences. But really "I used to think trans women were ok, but when I changed my mind, and got involved with obsessive haters, I discovered it's not just trans people they obsess about."

Who ever could have forseen that vindictive exclusion feeds on itself?

Yep, I know. But I wonder how many people - or their parents - balk at the thought of all that debt. Especially if, like me and my brother, you're the first in the family to go to uni.

How many people must think "Is it really going to be worth it?"

Crikey! Add accomodation, living expenses, and it's a hell of a lot. Looked up my old hall at Imperial, a room there now £330 a week, which is around £10k per year. So you could easily end up with 75k of debt for a 3 year course.

So, so lucky I had no fees and a full maintenance grant - last cohort

When I first moved here (1992, I think), estate agents would explain to prospective buyers that "It's virtually Stoke Newington" because no one much had hear of Clapton - and I more than once had the reverse experience, with a cabby heading south.

I recall there was a brief bonkers moment ten years of so back when, bizarrely, Clapton was the slightly cool place people moved to if they couldn't afford Dalston.

Which, to someone who's been in Clapton since the early 90s, seemed abolutely insane.

Also, sure his die-hard fans aren't likely fazed by this. But: those poll figures aren't just die-hard fans. There is a substantial number who are not so much Faragist as "the others are awful, why not try something different"

And I bet a fair few of those are people who will shudder at the racism.

Absolutely. Look at the actions of NewsNight staff in feeding their our Ouroboros of transphobia; if an NHS worker did even a fraction of that, they'd be instantly labelled a "trans activitst"

Yet these people hide behind the imprimatur of the BBC to deny their activism is that at all.

And, frankly, a lot of this guff about "vulnerable people being pressured into becoming trans" is really not much different from the old talk of gay people recruiting, is it?

Together with the attendant scare stories - if you're gay and have bum sex, you'll end up wearing nappies.

Why can't these people just be honest and say "Trans people give me the ick, that's why I make up all these lies and work hard to make life miserable for them"

And that includes you, Justin Webb.

George is much more than a con to Amber. He's Content.

By all means, flag up how many of every type of person will suffer because of these loons, but we mustn't forget who the actual targets are.
