Nigel (no, not that one) - I ♥️ 🇨🇦
@nigelingledew.bsky.social
A one-man mission to rescue the name 'Nigel' (which I've always disliked) from the gutter.
Bereft at the state of the world we're handing on to our kids. Sorry kids.
Retired. Former IT geek; still dabble.
West Country.
Not Canadian - just love 'em to bits!
To paraphrase the late great Douglas Adams (H2G2):

Any net imbalance between the amount you eat and the amount you excrete whilst at school is surgically removed from your bodyweight when you leave: so every time you go to the lavatory there it is vitally important to get a receipt.

Is he also still boycotting BBC until they apologise for him watching programmes in the 70s?

As it's Jane Austen fever time perhaps he has taken to heart 'you have delighted us enough' and is piping down for a bit.

Wee Tommee Two-Dads would fit right in with the Gurkhas. I'm sure they would make him more than welcome.

Farage whispers: Reform needs the BBC."

What, the Alexander Yakovenko who told a fellow diplomat: “We have crushed the British to the ground. They are on their knees, and they will not rise for a very long time.”?

"...his adult politics do."

And those, dear reader, impoverished a nation and separated it from valuable allies at a time when it was the last thing needed.

@brennick.bsky.social - thank you for your service.

Image saved for future and, alas, frequent use.

I see you managed to blot The Glinner out from your memory.
Very wise.

I got a bollocking for leaving the remnants of a paper hankie in my pocket going through screening.
"Hankie? HANKIE? What's a hankie?" he demanded on the edge of apoplexy as I apologised.
If only I'd known that over there the thing you wank into is called a couch.

It's the politics of spinelessness.

Or commit to a feckin' strategy (ha!) and push through. Accrue the advantages of being ahead of the pack by not having to maintain two production lines, one for the future, one for the past.
Or, or, continue being hopeless in that endearing British way.

@aptshadow.bsky.social - Surely this is a cover from one of your 'Children...' novels?!
Magnificent.

(And don't call you Surely)

Braces (suspenders) AND belt - taking no chances with his kecks dropping by accident.
My parents called that style of shoe 'Co-respondent Shoes', i.e. the sort that a cad cited in a divorce case would be likely to be drawn to!

My first thought was - I wonder what they won their VCs for, and was it the trauma of that which caused them to seek out other damaged people.

I sought out some music by Corelli on the back of Jack's duetting with Maturin. I'm such a philistine I'd never heard of him before. Lovely experience.

In any normal organisation, i.e. not parliament, indulging in bullying or harassment after receiving the mandatory training that points out that such behaviour is often considered A Bad Thing, would put you on the fast path to P45 and bland (if you're lucky) reference.

Mine say As long as you stick to Facebook that's OK, because no one we know reads that any more.
