After years of trying to smooth and sleek my rebellious wavy hair, I’ve decided, if you can’t beat ‘em.

Just spent a wonderful couple of hours at Heage Windmill, a few mins from home. It dates back to the the late 1700s and is still a fully working mill. The weather was gloriously windy so the mill was in full flow. Those rhythmic chunterings almost sent to me to sleep. Absolutely beautiful ❤️

Soz 🤣 you’ll be happy to know there completely harmless and actually quite pretty when you get up close. I found loads of them on their backs after they knocked themselves out, and I ended up helping them and letting them onto my hand. They have really sweet little eyelashes. Does that help?!

I’m not a fan of oneupmanship, but…the cockchafer beetle 😳About 4cm long and 2cm wide with wings tucked in. Tonnes of them launched themselves like bullets at my windows in the summer evenings. They’re massive when they fly. And they buzz at the volume of a gig amp. I never went outside for weeks!

My Tulip Tree gives the most magnificent Autumn display. Not only do the leaves go a beautiful shade of gold, they also get tiger stripes 🐅
