The mommy issues, yes! BUT I recently read Reproduction which frames Frankenstein as a pregnancy allegory (already a key theme in the OG novel) and also reflects on Shelley's life / marriage. So yes, the milk relates to literal and artificial birth (Vic is both father and mother of the creature)
