I was also caught by the Bigfoot reference! Is Catch a wizard who just hasn't come into his own yet, or a non-magical human? How did he get into a spy school for wizards if he doesn't know magic/is not inherently magical? (Love the idea of spell-hacked spycraft!)

I'm wondering if there's a way to combine both of your pitches. The first seemed soft and emotional; this one seems more adventurous and like Edison is more confident. However, the stakes seem a little off. All fae on Earth are at risk, but Edison is only trying to change one town's mind?

Got it! I would take out how old Jim was when his grandfather died, because mentioning him as a child/his age makes me immediately think it could be MG or YA. Unclear how much time passed since he was 10.
