i love the kind of friendship where you can do your life tasks together. this sort of companionate time is more common during big life transitions like a friend having kids, or someone getting sick, but i think this sort of dedication to showing up is good all of the time

checking on your neighbors can save lives. food pantries are vital, and serve thousands but it's also really hard for disabled people and elderly people to access them if they don't have delivery programs (which can be tremendously difficult to coordinate)
