i spoke to the folks behind the project to bring concord back to life about why they're doing it

great piece by cecilia. i was looking at the steam account yesterday and noticed that two of his reviews (specifically sea of thieves and helldivers 2) had been banned briefly by "a steam moderator" for violating steam TOS, but others remained. they're both back up now.

im on a break until september — was feeling so burnt out (and dejected from the layoff!) that i wanted to quit journalism. but i know that's not reality. i love this work and it’s important. for now, i will admire the goldfinches in the yard

![Subnautica 2 publisher Krafton is accusing Unknown Worlds founders Charlie Cleveland, Max McGuire, and CEO Ted Gill of “resort[ing] to litigation to demand a multimillion-dollar payday they haven’t earned,” according to the company’s response to the former executive’s lawsuit. That lawsuit, filed in July, accused Krafton of intentionally obstructing development of Subnautica 2. Now, Krafton says the founders took the company to court “rather than investing the effort necessary to meet the earn-out conditions they freely negotiated.”

One detail of the lawsuit is that Sony says Tencent pitched a Horizon game to Sony execs. Sony included parts of the pitch deck in the complaint, including one slide that showed off all the trophies the dev team had in Horizon games. Read the lawsuit here:
