Kash Patel fired FBI Agent Walter Giardina despite pleadings that the timing would be 'inexcusably cruel' as his wife was dying from adrenal cancer. His wife died on 15 July. He was fired on 8 August. The cruelty of this regime is deliberate - inflicted not out of necessity, but enjoyment
