We boost each other's confidence to push through. We support one another when things get rough or feel impossible. We're invested in one another's success. That makes all this worth it for me. ❤️ I'm proud of my efforts, over these past 18 years, in building spaces for us solo biz owners to thrive.

But yeah, as someone who's worked her entire adult life helping to market others, I hate doing it for myself. 😂 They say it gets easier, but after 18 years running my business I'd say...meh. A little easier maybe. Enjoyable? Not at all. I'm just glad to have a community of others who feel similarly.

I'm so tired of this perception. Especially when I work so hard. There are A LOT of us out here who are quiet, yet incredibly talented and knowledgeable with TONS to share where they feel safe to do so. I'd argue that most of the best are the quiet ones. 😉

I'm always happy to share my ideas and knowledge, but in more intimate settings. The communities I've built and been an active participant in allow this. But because I'm relatively quiet when it comes to the external world, bringing others in is difficult. But quiet doesn't mean inferior.

My biggest problem is my desire to be behind the scenes. While I LOVE the creation of and participating in, I am not a big "look at me, world! Hear what I have to say!" kind of person. Unfortunately, I've learned that's the way the world works. Loud and important voices = the attention needed.

I've put my all into creating this online space for solopreneurs like myself. I know how it feels to go it alone. It's why I've always created my own communities along the way. This one is especially near and dear to me because it's the first online version of what I've created in the past.

if there are kids in your life, show them mistakes. show them so many mistakes. show them the whiteout and eraser dust. show them silly sketches. draw silly sketches yourself. perfection doesn't exist. it never has. everyone has stories and our stories have always been enough
