There are also a ton of mom/parenting groups that use Facebook. Add in buy nothing groups and marketplace it can become pretty essential. That's what a monopoly combined with enshittification gives you, a service that sucks but you can't avoid.

Moving back a little here: this is when things became extremely chaotic. In the first minute alone there were several overhead batons, several people wearing press passes batonned, hit, shoved. Multiple journalists had to go to the hospital after this scrum (1)
