One underrated implication here: we can now build and publish your package without running or even installing Python.

In pure Rust, we can build your Python package, install it, publish it to a registry, etc.

I have some private packages released on a private GitHub repo. Most of the time pip installing with VCS is sufficient, but for my use-case handling GitHub credentials won’t work and I need a PyPI comparable index
